Black Salt For Protection is something that has been used for Centuries. This kind of salt is intended to be spread around the door frame or property lines after reciting prayers to aid and protection. More often people see in Hollywood and pop-culture salt rings that are of iodized salt. However black salt is not iodized. Commonly a mix of other sea salt, Epsom, or kosher salt, it is something that is not taken lightly for energy and spiritual protection.

Mixed with burnt herbs and charcoal to create the black color this is a very powerful tool to have. Most people use it after moving into a new establishment, being around negative people places and things, or just for good measure to make sure bad omens stay away.

Do you not consume, put on the body, inhale, bathed with, brew, or get wet. The salt is best used outside on a dry day. It can be kept down for three days for maximum potential, but does need to be swept away if it’s around the door frame. Be mindful of slugs and pets as salt is something that animals don’t necessarily need an addition of. Black Salt usually does not harm vegetation, but it is not supposed to be put in aquariums, around waterways, or areas where wildlife would consume or drink it. Salt naturally attracts moisture so be mindful as you spread it around especially in warmer climates.
